How to Clean and Disinfect Floors

Follow these steps to clean, disinfect and deodorize nonporous flooring with Clorox® Bleach or Clorox® Scented Bleach:

1. Prep

   For best results, vacuum or sweep the floor before mopping to remove the excess dirt and other particles.
2. Mop

   Mop or wipe with a disinfecting solution of 1 cup (250 ml) of Clorox® Bleach or Clorox® Scented Bleach and 5 L of water.
3. Wait

   To disinfect, allow the solution to contact the surface for at least 10 minutes.
4. Rinse

   Rinse and air dry.

Follow these steps to clean, disinfect and deodorize nonporous flooring with Clorox® Multi-Purpose Cleaner:

1. Prep

   Pre-wash surface.
2. Mop

   Mop or wipe with a disinfecting solution of 1 cup (250 ml) of Clorox® Multi-Purpose Cleaner and 5 L of water.
3. Wait

   To disinfect, allow the solution to contact the surface for at least 5 minutes.
4. Rinse

   Rinse and air dry.

You may also use Clorox® 5×1 Disinfecting Household Cleaner to clean and disinfect nonporous flooring:

1. Prep

   For best results, vaccuum or sweep the floor before mopping to remove the excess dirt and other particles.
2. Mop

   Mop or wipe the surface with a disinfecting solution of ¼ cup of Clorox® 5x1 Disinfecting Household Cleaner and 1 L of water.
3. Wait

   To disinfect, allow solution to contact the surface for at least 2 minutes.
4. Wipe or air dry

   Wipe surface or allow to air dry.
